Chad Reese, DMD

Dr. Reese is originally from Centerville, a suburb of Salt Lake City, Utah. After graduating high school in 1995, he attended the University of Utah for a semester before taking time off to serve a mission for his church in the Philippines. While there he was able to work with Project Smile in helping children receive necessary dental care. This opportunity sparked his interest in and love of dentistry.

When he returned, he resumed his collegiate studies and graduated in 2002 with the degree of Bachelor of Arts in Biology. He spent several semesters at the University of Utah on the Academic Dean’s List. During his undergraduate studies, he was a member of the University of Utah’s Pre-Dental Society and enjoyed his pre-dental coursework as well as working as a teacher’s assistant for one of the courses. Upon his graduation, he began his graduate studies in dentistry at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. While at Tufts, he benefited from the rigorous coursework in all subspecialties of dentistry, particularly in the care of medically-compromised patients and Prosthodontics. He graduated from Tufts in 2007 and relocated to Jacksonville, NC in order to enter private practice.

While in Boston, Dr. Reese met his wife, Brynn, a school teacher originally from Raleigh. They have four children, Nathan, Emily, Joshua, and Anne. Dr. Reese and his family love to spend time together playing outdoors and enjoying eastern North Carolina beaches. As a native of Utah, Dr. Reese is an avid skier and loves hitting the slopes whenever he can. In Jacksonville, he enjoys riding his bike and playing soccer. He is also very involved with his church community and loves getting to know people in the Jacksonville area.

Dr. Reese is devoted to the profession of dentistry and looks forward to developing relationships with his patients. He also looks forward to helping his patients with their dental needs and goals.

Amanda Grass, DMD

Dr. Grass grew up across Kansas, Germany, San Francisco, and Washington, DC while her father served in the Army Corps of Engineers. When he retired, she spent the rest of her childhood in Lexington, Kentucky before moving to New Orleans, LA to attend Tulane University. She then went on to attend the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in Louisville, KY and spent her first two years of practice in the city.

While in Louisville, Dr. Grass met her partner, Matt. His career prompted their relocation to the Carolinas, where Dr. Grass found a perfect fit in Coastal Carolina Dental Care. Together, they have a miniature lab mix named Harper and a miniature aussie doodle named Bogey who are spoiled beyond belief. Outside of the office, Dr. Grass keeps busy with a variety of interests. She likes to cook and is always trying new recipes from different cultures. On the weekends, she can be found boating on the intracoastal waterway, reading, or gardening. Dr. Grass also loves to travel and has been lucky enough to visit Morocco, Turkey, France, Italy, Germany, Canada, Ireland, and Mexico.

Dr. Grass is passionate about the field of dentistry and has taken a variety of continuing education courses in order to expand the services she can provide to her patients. She enjoys getting to know patients and helping them achieve their dental goals.
